Breaking and Entering!

I love these puns so much ^^

I think it’s interesting, you always seem to need a 3 color deck to cast these double gold fuse cards. That makes them a little harder to get out, and also incredibly powerful in many cases. This card is completely awesome for milling, allowing you to kill 8 cards off the enemies deck with Breaking. Then, with the Rakdos themed Entering, you can take a card from any graveyard, maybe one of the cards you just milled, and summons it to your side, with haste so it can attack immediately. This is another one of those awesome combos, and I think it’s my favorite yet, seeing as I’m in love with milling. My Dimir deck, frankly, is most likely the wimpiest mill deck you’ll ever lay eyes on, but I still love it so much. ^^

Beck and Call!

It took me awhile to get around to this due to procrastination! From what I can tell, I’m one of the only people reading these, and I lost a fair amount of interest in this. But still, I’ll do the occasional post for those who are still reading, most likely Reithena and one anonymous follower. (Sorry if I spelled your name wrong…)

The first rare dual-card, I’ve actually seen a friend pull one of these, at my own card shop… ^^

Beck allows you to gain a life for every creature you summon in a turn, so using it with a selesnya deck, or any other deck that creates tokens fast, is a good idea. Then you combine it with Call, which summons 4 1/1 White Bird creature tokens to the field. So a tiny army and 4 health is decent, but the 8 mana that takes is pretty steep, I’m not sure it’s rare worthy in my opinion… I would expect a rare to give you closer to 5 birds for that cost, it seems more like a slightly over powered uncommon.

Armed and Dangerous

Look above at the wonderful card before you! Armed, the first half, gives your creature +1/+1 and double strike, which is huge for 2 mana. Then you have dangerous, a sorcery that causes all enemy creatures to be forced into blocking your buffed up creature. Essentially, if you equip this to an already strong creature (An Eldrazi? :O ), you can then make it slightly more than twice as strong and then corral every enemy into a small target that you then annihilate. Does more need to be said? 😀

Alive and Well!

The first fused card set is Alive and Well, it appears the fused cards normally complement each other:

One side, Alive, summons a centaur, while the other side, Well, gives you 2 life per creature. So essentially, you summon a creature, which then boosts the other effect…

Not the best card, but good as a novelty seeing as it’s one of the first fused cards in the world 🙂 I plan on trying to find as many of these as possible if I really get into The Dragon’s Maze, I didn’t collect much of the last set, Gatecrash…

THE DRAGON’S MAZE! + Fused Cards!

I’m happy to announce, as many of you may know, that the Dragon’s Maze is now released and open to be bought! Yay^^! And it introduces a new type of card too:

I love the idea! Loads of people are probably going to get these as it allows you more options per card you put in your deck! I look forward to getting my hands on some of these

Starting tomorrow, I’ll review each one of these special new cards, and once done with that, review the mythic rares 🙂

“When I looked at this video, it nearly made me cry and delete my character..”(Because we’re so awesome? DELIBERATE MISUNDERSTANDING! 🙂 )

It’s a fun job, but really annoying when you slip up… a few mess ups:

Upload a video that takes an hour to put up there, then realize the opening title still states: “My Movie!”

Upload a lotro video to my other channel… >.<

Record an entire video, then realize that my mic wasn’t working…. etc. etc.

But all of that aside, a great job! If you do check the channels out, please subscribe to show your appreciation! All it does is give you an e-mail when I make a new vid, but it helps me get tons more views by making my vidcome up easier in searches!

Well, I just picked up this at Wal-Mart today:

I figured it’s made by Wizards of the Coast, a decent manufacturer, so it might be nice to have some early collectible decks if it ever really took off… Doubt it’s going to be another MTG, but who knows? I didn’t open the decks and so I have no idea what the rules are at the moment, but from what I can tell, the 2 booster packs I did open gave me complete crap XD

15 days till…. + CAMPNANOWRIMO!

I’m eagerly awaiting this next MTG set, the Dragon’s Maze! I know I told you all about it a while back, that’s not what I’m going to be talking about today.

1. If you don’t have it, pre-order it! PRE-ORDER IT NOW!!

2. I’m sorry about lack of new reviews, I’m going to get up a random one soon, but I wanted to wait to start a set until Dragon’s Maze comes out, that way I’ll have the maximum time to cover that one. Hopefully my reviews will start a day or two early if I can catch when Wizards of the Coast releases those images on their site, thus prompting other spoiler sites to do the same.

Onto our next subject…

We are in the midst of Camp NaNoWriMo! The event is essentially a collection of thousands of novelists getting together for a month of frenzied writing, in which we hopefully meet our word count goals and turn out a complete book! It’s my favorite event of the year!

A normal adult novel goal is 50,000 words, in November, the original date, it’s locked in at that goal. My goal this month is 60,000, and I’ve managed to write 47,000 words of that so far 🙂

You also can get assigned to a cabin and make NaNoBuddies! I have several and they’re really fun to write with 🙂

Add to that marathons, a wonderful community, the ability to look at other people’s novels, and more, and you have one of my favorite months of the year! My other favorites are June (Camp NaNoWriMo II ) and November (the original NaNoWriMo 🙂 )

And NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, the best sort of national thing ever 🙂

Why I’ve Dissapeared…

You may have noticed I have disappeared. Which means I can’t be talking to you right now. But I am, defying the laws of nature! MWHAHAHAHAHA!

That aside, I haven’t gotten anything new out because of:

1. NaNoWriMo: National Novel Writing Month. Camp NaNoWriMo takes place in April..

2. Youtube: I’m now manning 2 youtube channels….

3. School: School got way harder…

4. Addicting games such as Super Hexagon and Realm of the Mad God..

For a combination of these reasons I haven’t gotten on wordpress in quite a while, and when I came back I found that those were some of my most popular days…

?

I have no idea why, but I’m more enjoyable when I’ve disappeared… so time for some more Super Hexagon 😉

The End of MTG

Wizards of the Coast announced today that MTG wil go out of production:

“After consideration, we believe that this product no longer makes us enough of a profit, and thus have decided to discontinue it,”

WHAT!??!?!? NO!!!!!!!!!!

“We believe that it is in the best interest of the planet for all of the MTG players out there to quit this waste of time and get a life,”

What’s a life? >:\

“We believe that Annoying Orange is a better use of your time,”

This is just PLAIN STUPID! And so I go off to cry for 2 and a half millenia. See you in a couple thousand years!
